October has been a good month for the Thanyapura High Performance Triathlon Team with 4 overall wins and podiums.

Caleb Sandler managed to win two 10km running races a week apart, first winning the “11th Mai Khao Turtle Fun Run 10km”, then the following weekend the “Starwood Run to Give Bang Wad Dam 10km”. Next for Caleb was a superb 3rd place finish at the Thailand Tri League event in Pattaya against some seasoned professional triathletes. Caleb also took the top honor at Thanyapura’s King of the Mountain Trail Run.

Zavier Gates also had a good month’s competing, winning the overall sprint distance at the Thailand Tri League event in Pattaya — his second win the the Thailand Tri League series of races, and a fine effort for the 14-year-old competing against all ages.

A close second to Zavier in Pattaya was Andrew Pearson, who performed very well despite a few sickness set-backs earlier in the month. He also improved from his previous Thailand Tri League race in Bangkok two months ago.

Sam O’Shea started the month with a good second place in his age category at the “11th Mai Khao Turtle Fun Run 10km” and was looking good during the Pattaya Thailand Tri League event, until suffering a puncture 5km into the bike section.

Overall, with Caleb, Zavier, Andrew and Sam all placing on the podium this month in various events, the High Performance Triathlon Team had a great month of racing. Next up is the ITU Asia Cup event in Hong Kong with 8 of our Thanyapura HPT athletes competing in the event.
